Orientation to the College

Human Resources coordinates the process of college orientation.  College orientation introduces new hires to the overall structure, culture, and policies of the college.  

Orientation Modules:

• Academic and Student Affairs: An Overview: Coming soon

• Adult Education and Transition Programs: Learn who works in the department, how the programs are funded, and how they support adult learners within our community. 

• Communications and Planning (CAP): Coming soon

• Center for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CEITL): Supporting Laurel Ridge educators to provide the best educational experience for students. Learn about the CEITL team, and their roles in proving support through instructional design, professional development, LMS support and consultations.

• Early College and High School Partnerships: Learn about dual enrollment, meet the staff and locate resources.

• Educational Foundation: Learn how the foundation operates and how to donate, including via employee payroll deduction and how to view available scholarships. As mentioned, information on the Employee Emergency Assistance fund is available on the HR employee portal.

• Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA): The Records Office provides an overview of FERPA and resources for support.
