Announcement of Study

Colleagues,

As announced during President Kim Blosser’s open forum, I’m happy to share that the Classification and Compensation Study with Gallagher has officially begun.  This study is an essential step toward ensuring our organization’s success and will play a vital role in shaping our future workforce and compensation philosophy.

Orientation to the Study

Please view the attached narrated PowerPoint presentation that provides insights into the project’s significance and explains the goals, expected outcomes, the timeline for the study, and how each employee can contribute to the study’s success.  Key aspects of the orientation are highlighted below:

Next Step -- Job Description Training

A training session dedicated to writing job descriptions will be provided for classified staff, administrative, and professional faculty (teaching faculty are welcome to attend but not required to submit job descriptions).  The training will ensure consistency across job descriptions within the college and will be recorded if you are unable to attend. A separate Outlook invite will be sent for your calendars.

I want to highlight that as a part of this study, all requests for classification and/or compensation will be held and reviewed within the scope of this proposal.  This approach ensures that employees have access to the full resources and expertise this project provides, resulting in a comprehensive and effective review process.

As we embark on this critical endeavor, please remain actively engaged.  The insights and feedback shared through engagement will be instrumental in shaping the study’s outcomes and making it a meaningful success for our organization and employees.
