Teams Phone: Receiving and Making Calls from Multiple Numbers

Purpose

This article explains how to make and receive calls from lines other than your assigned work number. 

Intended Audience

Teams Phone users that have more than one phone number or a Call Queue assigned to their account.

Receiving Calls

For lines that ring multiple people, each person will see a notification appear that clearly states the name of the line and either the external number, or internal name of the Teams caller. If someone else picks up the call, all users see a brief message stating who picked it up.

Making Calls

1. In the calls app, you will see your assigned Work Number. The Call button stays grayed out until you have typed a number, or selected a Teams User at the top of the numpad.

2. After typing a number or selecting a Teams User, click the drop down next to the Call button. You will see all of the options available for which line you want your call to send from.
