Key Points:
- Reynolds Community College has implemented three new wireless networks for faculty, staff, students, and guests to connect their personal devices.
- These wireless networks will provide additional security and management services as well as enhanced Internet connectivity.
Instructions:
- Students will connect to the wireless network named JSR-Students (view the document in the Attachments section named "Reynolds Wi-Fi - Students").
- Faculty and staff will connect to the wireless network named JSR-Faculty-Staff (view the document in the Attachments section named "Reynolds Wi-Fi - Staff").
- Guests that do not have an assigned VCCS account will connect to the wireless network named JSR-Public (view the document in the Attachments section named "Reynolds Wi-Fi - Public"). Guests can continue connecting to the Wi-Fi network named Reynolds-Guest-Wireless until September 22, 2023.
Note #1: Faculty, staff, and students must connect to their designated wireless network by logging in with their MyReynolds username and password (the same credentials that are used to access VCCS enterprise applications such as Canvas, SIS, and Gmail).
Note #2: Faculty and staff should not connect their college-issued laptops to the JSR-Faculty-Staff wireless network unless they are intending to connect to VPN services. Otherwise, they should connect their laptops to the JSRCCnet secure wireless network.
Note #3: Guests will need to provide their name and mobile phone number, then enter a secure confirmation code to register their devices on the public wireless network.
