Human Resources coordinates the process of college orientation. College orientation introduces new hires to the overall structure, culture, and policies of the college. Employee Orientations are housed below in the form of links to videos. A Laurel Ridge login credential may be required to view the modules.
Orientation Modules:
History of the College, Culture, and Campus Tour. In this module, you will learn about key milestones in the college's history, understand how the college's mission aligns with the community, identify the core values of the college and how they are demonstrated in daily operations and decision-making, as well as outline the college's current strategic priorities and how your role will help contribute to advancing these initiatives through your work and engagement.
Academic and Student Affairs: An Overview: You will learn about the academic schools within the college, and their respective disciplines. The module describes the leadership structure within each school, including the roles of deans, assistant deans, and faculty.
Adult Education and Transition Programs: Learn who works in the department, how the programs are funded, and how they support adult learners within our community.

Center for Excellence and Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CEITL): Supporting Laurel Ridge educators to provide the best educational experience for students. Learn about the CEITL team, and their roles in proving support through instructional design, professional development, LMS support and consultations.
Early College and High School Partnerships: Learn about dual enrollment, meet the staff and locate resources.

FLSA Trainings: As part of our ongoing effort, the trainings below were created to provide guidance and support on the Department of Labor’s administration of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) is a federal regulation, and the college is required to maintain compliance. There are multiple trainings available for part-time and full-time employees.
