Change Your MyVPCC Password

Overview

This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to change your MyVPCC | MyVCCS password.


Instructions

  • To change your MyVPCC password, you must know your current password and be logged in.
  • If you do not know your current password, follow the instructions for resetting your password.

  • If you have difficulty changing or resetting your password, contact the Technology Service Center:

    • Phone: 757-825-2709

    • Location: Room 249, Kecoughtan Hall

  • Passwords cannot be reset via email; you must call or visit the Technology Service Center in person.

Change Your Password

  1. Log in to MyVPCC.

  2. Click on your name in the upper-right corner of the page to access account settings.

  3. From the drop-down menu, select Change Password.

  4. Follow the prompts to enter your current password and create a new password.

5. Enter your current password, then create a new password and repeat it. Passwords must have between 8 and 32 characters and contain a combination of:

  • at least one UPPERCASE letter
  • at least one lowercase letter
  • at least one number (0-9)
  • at least one special character (e.g. !`~@#$%^&*()_+{}[]-/\?:,)
  • CANNOT contain your first or last name or VCCS ID in any combination
  • CANNOT contain a space

6. Click Save.

7. You should receive a notification that your password has been changed successfully.
