MyBRCC Login

If you are having trouble getting into MyBRCC, these articles can help you get in. 

"My password doesn't work"

If you have forgotten your password, don't know your password, or the password you set doesn't work on other services, like logging into a lab computer: 

  • MyBRCC/VCCS: How to Reset Your Password
  • Call the Help Desk at 540-453-2400 for a password reset. Passwords can only be reset for the account holder. If you are a parent, counselor, or any other student representative, please make sure the student is with you when you call. 
  • On-Campus: Visit the Help Desk in E109.

"My password works, but I can't get in"

If you can get past the password screen but are having trouble with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):

  • Temporary MFA Disable: If you temporarily lose access to the email account or MFA device you usually use to log in, you may call the Help Desk at 540-453-2400 to get MFA authentication disabled temporarily. MFA is automatically re-activated after 10 minutes
  • Try Another Method: If you see a white link that says "Try another method", you have multiple MFA options enabled. Click this link to try the next method. 
  • Call the Help Desk: If there has been a change affecting your normal login, such as losing access to the connected email address or obtaining a new phone, you will need to call the Help Desk at 540-453-2400. 

 

Student Software and Devices

BRCC and the VCCS provide some software to students, as well as network connectivity. The BRCC Help Desk offers limited student device support for these services, and general troubleshooting of computer issues. BRCC does not offer hardware repair, OS install/upgrades, or virus removal

Microsoft Office

Enrolled students have access to Office365 apps online, as well as 5 local office installations

  • Office365 Online: Use your full VCCS email address and VCCS password to log in.
  • Download Office: Use your full VCCS email address and VCCS password to log in.

Lockdown Browser

Lockdown browser provides secure testing through Canvas

  • Download Lockdown Browser: Visit the VCCS resources page to obtain the Lockdown browser for your device. 
  • Lockdown Browser Support: Respondus has some basic troubleshooting articles to resolve common problems
  • For help installing or resolving an issue with Lockdown browser, please submit a support request using the button below. 

Device Repair

The BRCC Help Desk does not repair personally owned devices. There is a group of students on campus that provide some repair support:

Wireless Internet

BRCC provides wireless internet to students on the Network ID "BRCC". Guests of students may use the "BRCC Guest" network.
