EAB Navigate was launched in 2018 to support our work with guided pathways and advising. There is both a student facing and staff facing side of the technology platform. Navigate Student allows students to find their program/career path, know important to-dos and deadlines, schedule an appointment with an advisor, create an academic plan, register for class and connect with study buddies. Navigate Staff allows staff to run strategic communications and enrollment campaigns, take advising appointment notes, run early alert campaigns, do user friendly data mining and run campaign analytics. Navigate was implemented at the colleges in three waves between Spring 2018 and Spring 2019.
Key Features and Benefits
Administration
Navigate is administered by college App administrators who are a part of a delegated Navigate leadership team at each of the colleges. App administrators can configure the staff site through the administration page and the student site through a separate site called the content administration tool.
SIS Integration
Navigate loads SIS data on a nightly feed. Course registrations are done via API. Plans for future use of API for student To-Do's and Holds.
External Integrations
While still in development stages with EAB, Navigate will be capable of integrating with Canvas.
Getting Started
Each college has their own distinct Navigate Staff and Navigate Student URL that can be accessed through a tile on the MyCollegeSpecific portal via single sign on credentials.
Getting Help
Colleges can get Navigate specific help by emailing navigatetechsupport@eab.com. This email opens a ticket and is routed through EAB's tech support team for resolution. In addition to Navigate tech support, VCCS has a dedicated technical lead from EAB to support. Colleges may also submit at team dynamics ticket if their issue is SIS related and impact the data loaded to Navigate.
