  • Ensure VPN connection is established on your computer. 
  • These reports are automated and data is refreshed daily at 8:00 AM. Therefore, the data from these reports reflects what was in PeopleSoft SIS at the time of the data run rather than what is present at the time the user pulls the report.

This dashboard is designed to provide users with information on measures that evaluate student academic performance and outcomes.  It is composed of ten tabs providing an overview of current and historical retention rates, gateway math and English completion rates, completion of credit hours within defined periods, grades, semester GPA, and credentials earned.

These are the tabs available in the College-wide Student Performance Dashboard:

  1. Fall to Fall Retention
  2. Fall to Spring Retention
  3. 1st to 2nd Semester Retention
  4. 2nd to 3rd Semester Retention
  5. Gateway Math
  6. Gateway English
  7. Completion Credits
  8. Pass Rate

College-wide Student Performance Dashboard Training Videos

These short training videos will orient you to the following:

  • Logging In: This video explains how to log in to SAS Visual Analytics and access a dashboard.
  • General Features: This video reviews the general features of SAS Visual Analytics including instructions regarding (1) how to select tabs, (2) how to apply filters, (3) how to expand a chart, and (4) how to display information the tooltips.
  • My Favorites: This video explains how to add a dashboard to the list of "My Favorites" in SAS Visual Analytics.
  • Fall to Fall Retention and Fall to Spring Retention: This video explains the methodology for how retention rate measures in the Fall to Fall Retention and Fall to Spring Retention tabs are calculated as well as how to view that same information disaggregate by demographics (e.g. race, gender, locality).
  • 1st to 2nd Semester Retention and 2nd to 3rd Semester Retention: This video guides the user through the 1st to 2nd Semester Retention and 2nd to 3rd Semester Retention tabs including (1) the general purpose of the tabs, (2) how those retention rates are calculated on Reynolds' new students, and (3) how to use filters to view disaggregate information (e.g. race, gender, locality).
  • Gateway Math and English: This video orients the user to a tab that presents the number and percentage of new students who complete a gateway math or English course (e.g. 100-level course) within their first year at Reynolds.
  • Completion Credits: This video explains the Completion Credits tab and the information included regarding how well new students are doing on early momentum metrics at Reynolds (e.g. what percentage of students earn a certain number of credits within their first semester or year).
  • Pass Rate: This video teaches the user how to view the grades earned in Reynolds courses for all students.  This tab includes numerous filters on demographic, course and academic items.
  • Average GPA: The user will be taught how to use this tab to view the average GPA of students each semester.
  • Credentials Earned: This video explains how the Credentials Earned tab presents the number of credentials (i.e. certificates and degrees) awarded by Reynolds.
