Laurel Ridge Orientation Modules

Body

Welcome! Whether you're new to Laurel Ridge or simply seeking a refresher on the services each department provides, we encourage you to explore Laurel Ridge's Orientation Modules, located on the intranet's People Page. The modules are designed to give a comprehensive overview of our units, along with insights into the college's mission, history, and culture—allowing each of us to better understand how our roles contribute to the broader organization.

All employees are invited and encouraged to view the recorded orientation videos, which are available on-demand.

In the Spring semester of 2024, human resources re-envisioned the College Orientation sessions to run more efficiently and be accessible throughout the academic year for new hires. This approach aligns with our understanding of Employee Onboarding, of which orientation is a critical component. In addition to our onboarding storyboard, we have also developed a storyboard specifically for orientation

The goals of the orientation videos are to:

  • Welcome and integrate employees into the college community, helping them become productive team members who contribute to our positive, caring, and dynamic learning environment.

  • Provide employees with information about Laurel Ridge and its mission.

  • Introduce employees to Laurel Ridge’s structure, philosophy, purpose, and values.

  • Help employees understand the significance of their roles and the impact they have on the college and its community.

  • Familiarize employees with various college functions and services.

  • Engage employees across the college in support of our educational mission.

We look forward to your participation in the orientation process and encourage you to explore these resources at your convenience. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please contact your HR consultant with any questions (via the employee portal or hrteam@laurelridge.edu).
