The college adjusts our operating schedule as necessary in response to weather conditions and other emergencies to prioritize the well-being of our entire college community. During inclement weather, regardless of the college's decision, students and employees should use their own judgment regarding safe travel. Please remember to keep your supervisor informed.
The Inclement Weather and Other Emergencies Guidelines provide guidance on reporting expectations and the pay for each type of position designation. Inclement weather remote work is established to provide services that are mission-critical, time-sensitive, and/or to carry on meetings that have been set up virtually. We understand employees may have responsibilities that have arisen as a result of the inclement weather (childcare, shoveling, etc.) and supervisors will grant liberal leave. Liberal leave is the use of unplanned annual, personal leave, or leave without pay during severe weather. Please use your good judgment.
