A sampling of leave available through the Commonwealth to eligible employees: 

  • Civil & Work Related Leave (see DHRM Policy 4.05)
  • Annual Leave (see DHRM Policy 4.10)
  • Parental Leave (see DHRM Policy 4.21)
  • Holidays (see DHRM Policy 4.25)
  • School Assistance and Volunteer Service Leave (see DHRM Policy 4.40)
  • Sick Leave (full-time classified employees: see Virginia Sickness and Disability Program Policy, DHRM Policy 4.57) (full-time faculty and administrators: see VCCS Policy 3.9, Faculty Leave)
  • Family & Personal Leave (for employees enrolled in VSDP through VRS, see Virginia Sickness and Disability Program Policy, DHRM Policy 4.57)
  • Leave to Donate Bone Marrow or Organs (see DHRM Policy 4.37)
  • Family and Medical Leave (see DHRM Policy 4.20)
