Hyland Perceptive Content

Hyland - Perceptive Content (vendor - software solution) is our document management system solution. A repository for documents related to our student information system, human resources, procurement, and any other documentation that should be stored as part of Records Retention laws.

HPC also has a module within it for ʺIntelligent Capture Recognitionʺ (ICR) known as Brainware. In 2020, NVCC implemented Brainware for Transcripts to scan and conduct transcript evaluations with ICR. In 2023 TCC also implemented Brainware for Transcripts.

Metrics and Statistics

The document management system supports records, admissions, human resources, and financial aid at the 23 colleges and system offices.

Availability & Communication

The document management system is available 24/7 except our maintenance hours and scheduled outages for upgrades, etc.

Informative emails are sent out using the DMS/HPC User Communication Email group. You can sign up for those emails by following the instructions in this Knowledge Base article.

There is also a quarterly User Group meeting. The invitation for those meetings are sent out to the Email group mentioned above.

Updates and maintenance outages are communicated through TeamDynamix. You may subscribe to these emails by requesting access to the VCCS ITS Notification list.

Other Instance(s)

HPCTest is almost an exact clone of HPCProd. All new setups and development are done in HPCTest and thoroughly tested before they are moved to HPCProd.
