Issue: Employee is receiving an error message when trying to submit a full day of leave. When submitting a partial day (4.0 hours), the Total Hours will default to Zero and send the manager a notification to approve zero hours. The employee has the VCCS work schedule POLICE (MTWHFSS8). Entered partial day hours as 4.0 hours and the Total Hours Duration defaulted to zero. Leaving the hours as zero will send to the manager as zero hours for approval.
Solution:
Step 1: Review employee's shift to determine what is missing. In this case, there aren’t any hours associated with the schedule. (See screenshot below)
Step 2: Update the work schedule to reflect 8.0 hours per day Monday-Friday. This should address the issue.
