Cardinal: Employee Self-Service (ESS) Information

What is Cardinal Employee Self-Service?

Through Employee Self-Service (ESS), state employees can access information unique to them.  As a reminder, the VCCS HCM system is still our system of record for most things related to our employees like addresses and email addresses. 

You can also view your personal and job information but you are not able to change it in Cardinal HCM.  Any changes to this information should be made in VCCS HCM by either you or your HR support staff.

What actions can be taken:

View Personal and Job Details (view only)

View Paystubs and W2's (Historical records will be accessed in Payline)

Enroll/Update Direct Deposit Information

Enroll/Update Benefits

How do I access ESS?

All VCCS employees have access to the Cardinal ESS Portal. Please note that you must follow the Cardinal Quick Start Guide to register.  You will need your 11-digit state employee ID and your @email.vccs.edu email address to register; both can be found in HCM via the myVCCS (myCollege) portal.  See the below tiles to find the information.

 

This Cardinal Icon will be on the myVCCS (myCollege) portal to serve as a direct link to ESS.
