  1. Will we be able to answer multiple lines like we do on the Cisco Phones?
    • Yes. While calls will not work exactly like lines on existing Cisco Desk phones, there are several ways to have lines be answered by multiple people. 
  2. Will we be able to make and receive calls from the Office computer or Laptop without tying it to our personal phone?
    • Yes, You will be able to use the computer/laptop for making calls without tying it to a mobile phone. You will not have to use a personal phone at all if you prefer not
  3. If I choose to use the Teams Mobile option, will people see my cell phone number?
    • No. All communication is contained within the Teams App on your mobile device. Any call you make from the Teams app will show as coming from your office number. While the Teams app is able to use your cellular data connection, the app has no knowledge of your cell phone number and cannot use it in any way. *Please see the attached document for more information.
  4. Is a cellular device required for Teams Mobile?
    • No. Any device with a modern app store and WiFi connectivity will allow Teams Calls to function.
  5. Who will purchase bluetooth adapters for Office PCs?
    • The IT Department will provide USB Bluetooth adapters for those interested in using that option.
  6. Will we receive training on Teams?
    • Yes. The IT Department will ensure that everyone is familiar and comfortable with the Teams Voice functionality prior to the cutover date.
  7. Will my existing desk phone headset work with the Teams USB Phone?
    • Maybe. We have tested the Plantronics CS55 (pictured below) and that headset will work. If you have another model, please reach out to the IT department and we can test the headset.
