Quick addition: A few people have asked how I created the attached audio from the original message. I used Veed.io to make my free (!) voice clone. This one does require that it is your voice as you have to read a statement that it uses to get your clone set up. You can use it for voice recordings for videos or for things like creating voicemail greetings. They even have avatars you can use to go along with your AI voice (or a more generic one). Just so you know, options for a free plan are limited, so my recording was short.
There are less scrutinizing cloning sites/apps out there that allow you to record a voice based on any sound clip you can find online. So far, there have been no unauthorized uses from Alexa or Siri or the like based on my research.
Sites/apps like this give you things like Frank Sinatra doing an AI cover of Carless Whisper (a song he never recorded) or the unfortunate fake audio of the principal in the news clip in my tech tip.
