Overview 

This article explains how to schedule an email to be sent at a later time in Microsoft 365 Outlook. Using this feature, your message will remain in the Outbox until the specified time you choose, allowing you to plan emails in advance.


Steps to Schedule an Email 

Step 1: Open the Schedule Send Option 

  1. While composing a new email, click Options in the message window.

Step 2: Set the Send Time 

  1. Choose a default send time from the options provided or select Set custom date and time.

  2. Pick your desired date and time for the email to be sent.

  3. Click Send — the message will remain in your Outbox until the scheduled time.

You can delay the delivery of an individual message by having it held in the Outbox for a specified time after you click Send.
