Steps to Encrypt an Email 

Step 1: Open the Email Message 

  1. Open the email message you want to encrypt in Microsoft 365 Outlook.


Step 2: Access the Encryption Options 

  1. Select the Options tab in the email window.

  2. Click Encrypt.


Step 3: Choose an Encryption Type 

  1. Select the encryption option that meets your needs:

    • Encrypt-Only — the message is encrypted but recipients can forward it.

    • Do Not Forward — the message is encrypted and recipients cannot forward, copy, or print it.

  2. Finish composing your email and send it as usual.
