Set Up Your Canvas Profile
Engagement in Canvas is much more enjoyable when we can put a face to a name—seeing your friendly face along with your posts helps build a sense of community! If you haven't already, please take a moment to update your Canvas profile with a picture or avatar.
Here’s how:
- In the Global Navigation, click on 'Account', then 'Profile'.
- Click on the profile picture icon.
- You can upload a picture from your computer, take a picture using your webcam, or choose a design from Gravatar.
Once you’ve added a profile picture, don’t forget to click the "done" button at the top of the page.
Set Up Your Canvas Notification Settings
Canvas provides both teachers and students with the flexibility to customize how and when they receive notifications from the course. You can adjust your notification preferences to ensure that updates like assignment feedback, grades, and other course communications are sent directly to your email or phone. This includes the option to have announcements delivered straight to your preferred email address or via text message.
