The Gradebook allows instructors to easily view and enter student grades. Depending on the chosen grade display type, grades can be shown as points, percentages, complete/incomplete, GPA scale, or letter grades.
Only graded assignments, discussions, quizzes, and surveys that have been published will appear in the Gradebook. Ungraded assignments are not included.
By default, the Gradebook displays all students at once, but you can also view each student individually using the Individual Gradebook. However, note that the Individual Gradebook does not support all of the settings and options available in the full Gradebook.
Did You Know?
You can use the Gradebook's "Message Students Who" feature to quickly and easily send a BCC message and or reminder to students who:
- Haven't yet submitted the assignment
- Have not yet been graded
- Scored less than/more than a designated point value
This tool enables you to send the same message to multiple students at the same time, with each student will receiving an individual message in their Canvas Inbox.
