Turn Off Copilot in Outlook

Summary

Instructions on how to disable CoPilot in Outlook.

Body

If you want to turn off Copilot in Outlook, you can clear the Enable Copilot checkbox on your Windows or Mac device. When you turn off Copilot, the Copilot icon on the ribbon is disabled and you won't be able to use any Copilot capabilities.

When turning off Copilot in Outlook, your selection will apply to Outlook on all your devices when you’re signed in with the same account. For example, if you turn off Copilot in Outlook on a Mac device, Copilot will also be turned off for that same account when using Outlook on an iOS device.

 

Windows

 

Old (Classic) Outlook
  1. In Old Outlook, Click File
  2. Click Info
  3. Click CoPilot Settings
    Classic Outlook Account Information page. On the left menu bar, Info is highlighted. On the right side of the window, CoPilot Settings is highlighted
     
  4. In the CoPilot Settings Preferences window, toggle off Turn On CoPilot
  5. Click Save

New Outlook
  1. In New Outlook, click File
  2. Click Settings
  3. Click CoPilot
  4. Within the CoPilot Settings Preferences window, toggle OFF Turn on CoPilot

Mac

  1. On the top tool bar, click Outlook
  2. Click Settings
  3. Within Quick Settings, click CoPilot​​​​​​​

Outlook Online

  1. Log into Outlook online
  2. Click the Settings Gear 
  3. In the Settings Menu, Click CoPilot
