Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Connection

A BYOD connection allows you to connect your own device to the technology in the room, instead of using the built-in room PC. Follow the connection guides below to connect your device.

If your device has a USB Type C port (most modern devices, including all PVCC issued laptops, will have this):

A laptop with a USB Type C port and a USB Type C cable.

Connect the USB Type C cable to your device and press the USB-C button on the touch panel.

If your device only has HDMI and USB Type A ports:

A laptop with an HDMI and USB Type A port and an HDMI and USB Type A cable.

Connect both the HDMI cable and the USB Type A cable to your device and press the HDMI button on the touch panel.

Once connected, the display(s) in the room should mirror your own device. You may also use the integrated room speakers, camera, and microphones, if available.

Document Camera

The IPEVO Document Camera can be used to project images of documents and objects onto the screen(s) in the classroom. It is a modern version of an overhead projector.

Use the power switch on the base of the camera to turn it on or off.

An IPEVO brand document camera. The on and off button are labeled.

Open the Visualizer software on the classroom computer to see the camera feed. Turn on the projector and/or television screens to share this camera feed with the classroom.
