This room is equipped with the technology listed below. Tap or click each header to see more information.
Crestron Touch Panel
The technology in this room is controlled by the Crestron touch panel located on or near the lectern.
Towards the bottom of the panel, you will find the main room controls (1️⃣):
- The Power Button will turn on the displays (televisions and/or projector) in the room. If the displays are already on, the power button will turn them off.
- The Volume Mute Button will mute sound coming through the speakers.
- The Volume Controls will set the volume of sound coming through the speakers.
The top of the panel contains the function buttons (2️⃣). See the corresponding description, below, of each function.
Not all functions may be available in all rooms.
- The Room PC Button will mirror the display of the built-in room PC to the displays.
- The USB-C and/or HDMI Button will mirror the display of the connected device to the displays. See the section below on Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) for more information.
- The Mic ON / OFF Buttons will mute or unmute the room microphones used for lecture recording or video calls.
- The Blank Screen Button will temporarily blank or hide the content being shown on the displays, without powering them off.
- The Wireless Share Button (if available) will allow the use of Mersive Solstice to wirelessly cast the display of a compatible device to the displays in the room. Not all rooms will have this functionality. See this article on Mersive Solstice for more information.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) Connection
A BYOD connection allows you to connect your own device to the technology in the room, instead of using the built-in room PC. Follow the connection guides below to connect your device.
If your device has a USB Type C port (most modern devices, including all PVCC issued laptops, will have this):

Connect the USB Type C cable to your device and press the USB-C button on the touch panel.
If your device only has HDMI and USB Type A ports:

Connect both the HDMI cable and the USB Type A cable to your device and press the HDMI button on the touch panel.
Once connected, the display(s) in the room should mirror your own device. You may also use the integrated room speakers, camera, and microphones, if available.
Room Camera
The room camera is mounted to the ceiling and will show a video feed of the classroom. This can be used for video conferencing and lecture recordings.
The camera is operated by a remote that may look like the one below.

After turning the camera on, change the camera view using the zoom & panning buttons.
