If you work in a public space, share your screen during meetings, or teach classes, disabling the chat content preview enhances privacy and protects sensitive information. 1. Access your Notifications and Activity settings

  1. Select Settings and more next to your profile picture at the top of Teams. This will appear as three dots.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Go to Notifications and Activity.

2. Scroll down to Display.

  1.  Scroll down to Display and uncheck Show Message and content previews in notifications

3. Message preview hidden.

When someone sends you a message in Teams chat, your notification pop-up will now look like this:
