Add the Teams App to Your Cell Phone

Microsoft Teams Mobile App

Downloading the Microsoft Teams app to your cell phone is not a mandatory work requirement, but it offers several benefits that can enhance your productivity and connectivity. With the Teams app, you can stay connected with your colleagues and access important work communications on the go. It allows you to join meetings, chat with team members, and collaborate on documents from anywhere, ensuring you never miss critical updates. Additionally, the app provides notifications for messages and meetings, helping you stay organized and responsive even when you're away from your desk. Overall, the Teams app brings the convenience of seamless communication and collaboration to your mobile device, making it easier to manage your work life efficiently.

If prompted, we don't recommend allowing Teams to access your contacts on your phone. If prompted, select "Don't allow".

To download the Teams mobile app, go to your mobile device and follow this link to the Microsoft download page. Or download it from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store.

1. Using the links above, download the Microsoft Teams app. (The screenshot below show the download option in Google Play for an Android device.)

2. Tap "Get started".

3. You may be asked to "Pick an account" or sign in using your PVCC credentials

4. Enter password.

5. You maybe presented with different ways to authenticate you log in.

  • If you are using Microsoft Authenticator app you will be prompted to enter the number in Microsoft Authenticator.

  • If you don't have Microsoft Authenticator app you will basked to authenticate with:
    • Via text message
    • Via phone call

6. If authenticating by text, enter the code you received.

7. If authenticating by phone call:

  • Answer phone
  • Hit the "# (Pound Key)" when instructed. You will be signed in afterwards.
