Setting up your voicemail greeting in Microsoft Teams for your personal line ensures that callers receive a personalized message when you are unavailable. This process involves accessing the voicemail settings, recording your greeting or using text-to-speech, and saving the changes to update your voicemail.
Set up your voicemail greeting
Navigate to Call Settings
1. Click the three dots at the top of the screen.

2. Click Settings.

3. Click Calls.

Greeting Options
You can set up your voicemail greeting two ways.
- Record a custom greeting
- Set up a text-to-speech customized greeting option

Record a custom greeting
1. To record a greeting, click "Record a greeting". This will open the voicemail window.

2. Listen to and follow the verbal prompts.
Set up a text-to-speech customized greeting option
1. Choose a language for your default greeting
2. Choose what happens when the call is redirected to voicemail. In most cases you should select let the caller record a message.
3. Enter your greeting in the text box.

Recorded greetings will replace any text-to-speech greetings. If you already have a recorded greeting and would like to use the text-to-speech option, you will need to delete the recording.
Check your voicemail
Checking your voicemail is easy with Teams voice.
Important to note: PVCC has configured all personal lines to forward a transcript and audio recording of the voicemail to your work email address. You can still access your voicemail directly through the Teams App. Follow the instructions below.
1. Click the Calls Tab at the side of the screen.
2. Click Voicemail at the top the screen.
3. Click the voicemail you would like to listen to, then hit play. The voicemail is also transcribed.
