Opting in or Out of a Call Queue in Microsoft Teams

If you are a member of a Teams call queue, you can opt-in or opt-out of the queue.

Access Calling Queue Menu

1. Click the three dots at the top of the screen.

2. Click Settings.

3. Click Calls.

4. Click the calling Queue you want to Opt-in or Opt-out of. Your calling queue is located at the top of the screen. You may be in more than one calling queue depending on your role. Set you opt-in/opt-out status accordingly.

5. If the toggle button is to the left, that means your are currently opted out and will not receive calls routed through calling queue. Click toggle button to opt in.

6. If the toggle button is to the right, that means your are currently opted in and will receive calls. Click toggle button to opt out.

Best Practice: 

  1. Make sure you have established your quiet hours. Doing so will ensure that calls are not routed to you while you are not working. Click here to learn how to set your quiet hours.
  2. Check your call queue status each day to ensure that you haven't left yourself opted out.
