M830 Technology Guide


This room is equipped with the technology listed below. Tap or click each header to see more information. 

Crestron Control Panel

The Crestron control panel will operate some of the technology in the room, including the projector and speakers. See the diagram below for the common functions found on the control panel.

The on/off button will have a red light, indicating it is on.

To display what is on the computer, press the PC button.

Projector

The projector should mirror the display of the classroom instructor computer to the projector screen at the front of the room. 

The projector is operated by a remote that may look like one of the examples below. 

An NEC brand projector remote. The on and off  buttons are labeled towards the top.

An older model NEC brand projector remote. The on and off  buttons are labeled towards the top.

Use the Power On button to turn on the projector, and the Power Off / Standby button to turn off the projector.

Do not attempt to change the source of the projector without assistance. 

Please remember to turn off the projector at the end of the class session or when not in use. This will preserve the life of the projector and lamp.

Document Camera

The IPEVO Document Camera can be used to project images of documents and objects onto the screen(s) in the classroom. It is a modern version of an overhead projector. 

Use the power switch on the base of the camera to turn it on or off.

Open the Visualizer software on the classroom computer to see the camera feed. Turn on the projector and/or television screens to share this camera feed with the classroom.

Room Camera

The room camera is mounted to the ceiling and will show a video feed of the classroom. This can be used for video conferencing and lecture recordings. 

The camera is operated by a remote that may look like the one below.

After turning the camera on, change the camera view using the zoom & panning buttons.
