How to Claim Your Account

All new users must complete the account claim process. Claim means to activate and set up your account for the first time. You will also need to create your first password.

Begin the Account Claim Process

  1. Go to www.pvcc.edu. Click on MyPVCC at the top right of the screen. This opens the login page.

  1. Type your MyVCCS username. Your username usually has letters and numbers. Example: abc12345Screenshot of MyVCCS login screen with PVCC logo. There is a blank username field directly under the PVCC logo. Under the username field, there is a GO button.
  2. Click GO

Claim Your Account

  1. Choose one of the two options to get your claim code. Use this code to activate your account.

  2. Click Continue
  3. If your personal information matches the system, you will get a claim code. The code will be sent to the option you choose.

  4. Enter your date of birth. Use this format: YYYY-MM-DD. Example: 2026-06-10

  5. Click Next

Create Your Password

  1. Create your MyVCCS password

Your password must be:

  • 14 to 100 characters long
  • It must also include at least 3 of these:
    • 1 lowercase letter (a, b, c)
    • 1 uppercase letter (A, B, C)
    • 1 number (1, 2, 3)
    • 1 special character (!, @, #, etc.)
  • Do NOT use:
    • Your VCCS ID
    • Your first name
    • Your last name

  2. After you create your MyVCCS password, your account setup is complete.Screenshot of completion window. This includes user's username for future use. The option to continue and set up MFA is available.
  3. Click Continue to log in and set up Multifactor Authentication (MFA). This is an extra step to keep your account safe.
