GED preparation and testing is handled at the Roanoke Higher Education Center.

There is normally a $20 enrollment fee while all other materials are included, but if we refer a VWCC student to them they will waive the fee (per Lea DeCosta 10/16/23).

The preliminary test and setup is done every Wednesday at either 10:00am or 6:00pm in room 403 on the 4th floor of the Higher Education Center. There is no registration required and you can just show up at one of these times. This will take around 2-3 hours to complete.
