Security Awareness Training is required for all Virginia Employees and affiliates.
Key Features and Benefits
Administration
Security Awareness Training is administered by the product KnowBe4, and managed by Technology Services and the VCCS Information Security Shared Service.
Key function
Security Awareness Training informs employees of Information Security best practices. It also serves as a reminder of Clean Desk, FERPA, and Acceptable Use policies. Employees with access to sensitive systems may be required to take additional training throughout the year. New employees are required to complete this training within 30 days of their start date. Contractors or other affiliates with BRCC may be asked to complete their training via a paper packet instead of the online training.
Getting Started
Employees will receive an email to their BRCC email account if they have one or their VCCS email account letting them know they have been enrolled in training. The email provides a unique sign-in link to access the training. To sign directly into KnowBe4, go to https://training.knowbe4.com/ui/login and enter your email address to receive a sign-in link. If you have a BRCC email address, use this address to sign in, otherwise use your VCCS email address.
