Information Security Incident

Information Security is the responsibility of all BRCC faculty, staff, and students. Anyone may and should report a security incident if they observe one.

Key Features and Benefits

Administration

Information Security Incidents are tracked and reported by Technology Services. Incidents are reported to the ISO, CIO, and investigated by the Help Desk Supervisor or Enterprise Systems Security Administrator as appropriate. Incidents are reported to the Information Security Incident Response Team quarterly (ISIRT), unless the severity of the incident requires their immediate notification. Depending on the nature and severity of the incident, reports will be made to the VCCS and CoVA as required.

Getting Started

Use the button on the top right of this page to report an Information Security Incident. Reports should include as much detail as possible to ensure a quick and thorough investigation.

Getting Help

If you are unsure whether you've observed an Information Security Incident, or need help reporting one, please contact the Help Desk at 540-453-2400, or 602400 from a campus phone.
