Remote Desktop: Remoting into Your Office Computer/Laptop

Purpose

To be able to remote into your office laptop or desktop computer from another PC.

Steps

1. Click on the windows button or search bar at the bottom of your screen.

2. Search for and open "Remote Desktop Connection"

3. Click on "More Options" at the bottom of the window to expand the options available.

4. Click on the "Display" tab and tick the "Use all my monitors for the remote session" box

5. Go back to the "General" tab and enter your computer name into the "Computer" field. The naming convention is going to brlastflaptop/brlastfpc (The username that you use to login to the computer in your office followed by "laptop" if you have a laptop or "pc" if you have a desktop computer in your office.)

6. Click on "Connect" and type in the password that you use to log into the computer in your office. Click "OK" and your remote session will begin.
