Purpose
This article provides instructions for connection to the BRCC network via VPN and accessing the Terminal Server to work with BRCC Shared Drives
Before Getting Started
VPN should only be used when on the Wifi at BRCC or off-campus. If your computer is docked at your desk, these instructions are not needed.
Assumptions
You are a BRCC employee with a computer joined to the BRCC domain. You are on the wifi network, or connecting from off-campus.
Steps
1. Click "Search" from the taskbar of your Windows 11 PC
2. Type "GlobalProtect" look for the GlobalProtect app in the menu
3. Click "GlobalProtect" App and Type vpn.brcc.edu in the portal address space then click on Connect.
4. Now search for Remote Desktop Connection from the taskbar then click Open
5. Enter terminal.brcc.edu in the Computer field and click on Connect.
6. You will see this window about certificate error, this is ok. please check the "Don't ask me again" box and click on Yes and you will be logged into the terminal.
