Wifi: How to Connect to BRCC WiFi

Purpose

This article directs all users including students on how to connect their devices to the BRCC Wifi connection

Before Getting Started

If you belong to BRCC and not a guest then always connect to BRCC wifi and Not BRCC Guest wifi

Assumptions

You are faculty, staff, or an enrolled student. Most users connect their laptops and smartphones to the school wifi, laptops can be Windows machines, MacBooks or Chromebooks. 

Steps

Connecting a Windows Machine :

1. Click on the Wifi icon on the taskbar or the arrow next to it in Windows 11 then click on BRCC as shown below,

2. Click Connect and you will be asked to enter your credentials, please if you a re a student use your MyBrcc username and password, for faculty and staff you are allowed to use either your MyBrcc/VCCS  or your BR credentials.

Connecting a MacBook :

1. Click on Wifi icon on the MenuBar and select BRCC

2. Enter your MyBrcc credentials and click OK then Continue

Connecting ChromeBooks and Android phones :

1. Look for BRCC wifi and click on it

2. Change the settings for EAP method, Phase 2 authentication, CA certificate and Online Certificate Status as shown below, do not forgot to put in br.vccs.edu as the domain.

3. Enter your MyBrcc username under Identity and the password then click Save

Connecting an iPhone :

1. Go to Settings and click on Wifi the select BRCC

2. Enter your MyBrcc/VCCS or BR account credentials (staff and faculty)

3. Click on Trust
