Scheduling a Zoom Meeting for Someone Else

This article shows how to schedule a Zoom meeting for someone else, given the appropriate scheduling privileges for that person.

  • Primary hosts can always schedule Zoom meetings for which they will control.
     
  • Primary hosts can assign one or more alternate hosts to schedule Zoom meetings on their behalf.

 
Instructions:

The user given scheduling privileges will need to log out of their Zoom client and log in again for the scheduling privilege option to appear.

  1. Sign in to the Zoom desktop client software.
     
  2. Click the Schedule icon.  This will open the scheduler window.

  3. Click Advanced Options.

  4. Check the box for Schedule for: choose the user are scheduling the meeting for.
     
  5. Click Save to finish creating the meeting.  The user's meeting should now appear in your Zoom calendar which you will control.

  6. Make sure to send the calendar details via your email client (e.g., Outlook) to those invited to attend.
