Key Points:
- Our campus phones were upgraded by the VCCS to be integrated with Enterprise Services.
- Each button on the phones (to the right of the screen) will correspond to only one phone line -- see screenshots below in the main article for a visual guide.
- Users can make and receive multiple calls from the same line.
- The number of buttons you have on your phone depends on what Cisco phone model you have.
This is a picture of a Cisco phone (7940 series model) which has only two buttons. Each button is tied to only one line.
When you are actively using a line and another call comes in to the same line, you will see it under your current line.
To answer the second call on the line, press the down arrow to answer a second call.
To switch back to the first call, press End Call on the active line (which should be the second call), press up arrow, and press Resume.
If you need to make a second call, press New Call.
You will then be able to dial a number for the second call. The cursor will appear and show you the number you are dialing.
Press End Call to hang up on a selected line.
