March 25, 2026: It was a beautiful week in Laurel Ridge's neighborhood!

Thanks to each of you for helping make Neighbor Week a meaningful and special time in the Laurel Ridge neighborhood.

Together, we raised a total of $714 to be distributed evenly between Parent Scholars, TRiO, and the Employee Emergency Assistance fund. This represents a 128% increase over last year’s inaugural Neighbor Week fundraising; something that would surely make Fred Rogers proud! And truly, it should make you proud, too.

As a special treat here’s Judah Dotson, a work study student located at the Luray-Page County Center. Judah shared a snappy rendition of “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” on Neighbor Day (please note that a captioned version is being prepared and will be shared out via social media this week). We are grateful for Judah’s talent and care for Neighbor Week!

  • If you would like to carry a bit of the Neighbor Week spirit with you, Neighbor Week t-shirts are still available to order at this linkThe deadline for placing an order is April 10th.

  • We are already looking aheadNeighbor Week 2027 will take place March 22-26. If you would like to help imagine and plan next year’s activities, please contact Kris Iden. Kris would love to include you!

Moments like these remind us how much stronger and kinder our neighborhood becomes when we take the time to be good neighbors to one another and to ourselves.

With gratitude,

The Cardigan Crew - Neighbor Week's Planning Committee
