Inspired by Fred Rogers' legacy of kindness and the culture of care at Laurel Ridge Community College, Neighbor Week is a celebration of community, generosity, education, and connection. This is an opportunity to come together, share in kindness, and support our neighbors (anyone who is near us!) during the week that would have been Fred Rogers’ birthday.
Who was Fred Rogers?
Fred Rogers created and hosted Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, a beloved half-hour children's educational television program which aired from 1968 to 2001. To learn more about Fred, please click this link!
When is Neighbor Week?
Neighbor Week occurs during the week that would have been Fred's birthday. This year, it will be March 16th - March 20th, 2026. Details regarding activities with meaningful and fun ways to participate as well as helpful resources will be shared in the coming months!
