CHASE: Care, Health and Sustainability for Employees will CHASE Kindness, Health and a Cleaner Earth
Mission and Purpose:
The CHASE (Care, Health, and Sustainability for Employees) committee is a college-wide, employee recognition and special project team that celebrates the successes and achievements of College employees. We identify and convey acts of support and kindness on behalf of the College for employees during times of need or loss and organizes recreational events and activities which promote physical, emotional, social, mental and environmental dimensions of health and wellness. Care, Health and Sustainability for Employees will CHASE Kindness, Health, and a Cleaner Earth.
Programs:
The Chase committee will develop and run the following programs (subject to change based on committee/ employee engagement and participation):
- Ice Cream Social
- 5K Wellness
- Breast Cancer Awareness Month
- Diabetes Awareness Month
- Holiday Open House
- Snacks and Social
- ASPCA Awareness and Donation Month
- Earth Day
Employee Gift Guidelines
- For Full-Time Staff or Faculty
- Death of an immediate family member- Flowers/ Peace Lily
- Immediate Family Includes: Parents, Spouse and Children
- Marriage: Gift Card
- Birth/Adoption: Gift Card
- Short-Term Disability/ Absence: Food Gift Card
- Part-Time Staff and Adjuncts:
- Death of an immediate family member - Card
- Marriage - Card
- Birth/Adoption – Card
- Medical Absence – Card
Funding:
- Sustainability is provided with state funds yearly and will cover costs associated with environmentally friendly practices
- Care and Wellness Committee will combine Foundation accounts and will cover expenses associated with CHASE programming/events
- Overall, the committee will be self-funded, earning money from the annual 5K and donation jars place at various events
