Byrd Room A/V Information
The Byrd room is equipped with a computer, camera, microphone, wireless keyboard and mouse, and a tv for display.
Login:
- Computer Account: conferenceroom
- There is no password. Just press enter in the password box.
Connect a Personal Device:
- Place your laptop on the A/V station.
- Plug in both BLUE cables (USB & HDMI). This will allow the display and control of all the equipment mentioned above to switch over to the laptop, INCLUDING the wireless mouse and keyboard.
- Check that you are duplicating the display on your laptop in Display Settings.
- Take the wireless keyboard and mouse to the conference table and use it to navigate.
- Once finished, please unplug both blue cables and leave them unplugged. Please do not attach blue cables to the computer as it is not necessary.
Troubleshooting Tips:
The following sections will go over various troubleshooting steps that you can follow if an issue arises.
DUPLICATE THE DISPLAY:
If the screen is not displaying correctly, verify that the display has been set to duplicate.
Right Click on the desktop and select Display Settings

Look for the drop-down box on the bottom right of the top pane and check if it says, “Duplicate these displays”. If it does not, click on it and select the duplicate option.

This section will cover selecting the audio and camera in the settings for Zoom, Teams, and on the computer. Note: changing the camera does not apply to the computer.
CHANGE AUDIO OR CAMERA:
Zoom:
Selecting the circled arrows below on Zoom will allow you to change the microphone/speaker and camera.
Microphone:

Teams:
Click the drop-down arrow for the camera or microphone and select the appropriate option.

Computer:
You can change your audio output by clicking the speaker icon in the bottom right of the desktop then clicking the “Select a sound output button” next to the volume slider.
