Special note regarding the Thanksgiving holiday break:
In recognition of the exceptional service and dedication that state employees provide every day, the Governor announced that an additional half day of leave was granted for Friday, 9/4 for the Labor Day weekend. Because Laurel Ridge has classes scheduled that day, we will observe this additional leave on Wednesday, November 25th. The college will now be closed all day on Wednesday, November 25th, the day before Thanksgiving.
Special note regarding the holiday break in December from Dr. Kim Blosser:
"To recognize and say ‘thank you’ for your hard work during 2026, the College will be awarding recognition leave on the following dates: Monday, December 21; Tuesday, December 22; and Wednesday, December 23. As a result, the College will be closed starting December 19, 2026, and will reopen on Monday, January 4, 2027. Our HR team will be updating the 2026 Holiday Page on the Employee Portal to reflect these changes.
