Log in to the myVCCS portal and select "Cardinal" to launch the Cardinal website.
You can also visit the Cardinal website directly at my.cardinal.virginia.gov.
To start the login process, click on the Cardinal Username field. Your username will be your myVCCS email address. For example username@email.vccs.edu.
Fill in your password to authenticate your account securely.
Click the Sign In button to access your account dashboard. Once you're logged in, we're ready to add Okta Verify to your account.
Click Manage Your Account to update your security settings.
In the Okta portal, you will be able to select security methods. You'll see a list of available security methods or extra verification options. Look for 'Okta Verify' in this list.
Click "Set up" next to Okta Verify to begin configuring the Okta Verify app for your account.
Click the "Set up" button. Now you'll see a QR code on your screen. Keep this window open and grab your phone.
Open the Okta Verify app on your phone and tap the 'Add Account' button.
Tap 'Organization'
Select "Skip" on the Add Account from another device screen
Select "Yes, ready to Scan" to begin the QR code scan process
Now, point your phone's camera at the QR code on your computer screen. The app will automatically scan it and add your account. If you have trouble scanning, you can also tap 'Can't scan?' and manually enter the code displayed on your screen.
Select "Enable" to activate Face ID or Passcode confirmation
You have successfully added your account to Okta Verify. Tap "Done" to complete the setup.
