When a new Academic Organization has been added to the Academic Organization table, the Academic Organization Tree must be updated in order to grant security.
This allows the new Organization to be seen and used in the Catalog and Schedule of Classes. There is also a process that must be run after the tree has been updated in order for the Academic Organization and College structure to be refreshed for security purposes. The Catalog and Schedule not only depend on the Tree’s accuracy, but also on Security and Report Writing.
When copying the tree, make sure that the most recent academic org is copied.
When running security for the Academic Organization, the effective date should be the same as the Academic Org. For example, if the Academic Org is 08-01-23, then security should run for that effective date.
