DMS: Hyland Perceptive Content (HPC): Web vs. Desktop Client

Hyland Perceptive Content (HPC): Web vs. Desktop Client

Web: Hyland Perceptive Experience, the web-based instance of Hyland Perceptive Content, allows you to take advantage of most of the functionality of the desktop client via a web browser.

Desktop Client: The Hyland Perceptive Content desktop client provides the full functionality and features of Perceptive Content. Those who use the desktop client must upgrade whenever the server is upgraded, whereas web users do not.

All new setups for HPC will be done for the web client only. Hyland is putting all of their development efforts into ensuring the web client will soon have all of the functionality that the desktop client currently offers. See the chart below comparing the two clients for our current version (EP4) of HPC.
